Stop Child Soldiers
Stop Child Soldiers

A group of concerned high school students at the Health Careers Academy in the City of Boston, Ma, in the United States became aware of the child soldier tragedy in the Congo after they joined a program with Reebok International called Reebok 4 Real. This program encourages young people to get involved in helping to improve basic human rights. The group selected a former Reebok Human Rights award winner from the Democratic Republic of the Congo as someone they admired for his fight for the human rights of children in the Congo. Christian Mukosa won the Reebok Human Rights Award in 2003, and is still in Africa working with Amnesty International.

The web site supports a letter writing and fund-raising campaign to stop the child soldier practice and to help rehabilitate former child soldiers who have been victims in this devastating war.  The web site features form based tools to help people using the web site to direct letters to members of  the US Congress in regard to specific legislation, and to support field workers who are on the ground in the Republic of Congo and to former child slaves. All work on the web site was donated by T. K. Rose Web Solutions LLC. See the web site.
